Beth Tasharski

Beth Tasharski May 13, 1923 - April 19, 2019 Westminster, CO Beth passed away at her home in Westminster, Colorado after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was 95 years old. Beth was born Beth Marie Kelley on May 13, 1923 in Hunter, North Dakota to William and Jessie (nee Rogers) Kelley. Beth was the last surviving child of her family of six children. Beth was preceded in death by her first husband, Marion E. (Bo) Hines (married 5/30/53 - 1/15/64) and her second husband Charles F. Tasharski (married 10/1/66 - 11/25/99). Beth is survived by her son Charles (Bud) Hines and his wife Laurie. Beth is also survived by her two grandsons, Brandon Brunetti and Dalton Hines. Beth began her professional life in 1942 working for Western Union in St. Louis, Dallas, and Chicago. Beth then moved to the Illinois Institute of Technology from 1945 thru 1949. Beth then moved to Argonne National Laboratory in 1949. Beth was the personal secretary for Dr. Oliver Cecil Simpson who was a pioneer in the early development of atomic energy research. Beth took a leave of absence when her son Bud was born in 1957 but remained employed at Argonne until she and Chuck left Illinois in 1969. They settled in Colorado in 1970. Beth was employed by Chrysler Motors Corporation in Denver until she retired. Beth enjoyed traveling, bowling, gardening, and playing cards. Actually she enjoyed any social activity and made many friends through the years. Beth had a zest for life and she will truly be missed by her family, friends, and all those who loved her. All are welcome to join us to celebrate Beth's remarkable life on June 22, 2019 from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm with the outdoor remembrance ceremony commencing at 12:00 noon. A reception will immediately follow the service in the event room. If you would like, please bring a flowering plant to the ceremony so that she can be surrounded by and remembered with one of her great loves, flowers. Then take those plants home and plant them in her remembrance at your home. Beth's Celebration of Life will be held at: West View Recreation Center 10747 W. 108th Avenue Westminster, CO 80021
