Barbara Faye Gordon

Barbara Faye Gordon (Bozarth), 68, went to be with the Lord on September 18, 2017 in Wheat Ridge CO after a valiant battle with a long illness. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace. Barbara Gordon was born on October 31, 1948 in Sacramento California to Betty Lou Cunningham and Bluford Orville “Shorty” Bozarth. She graduated from Mapleton High School in 1966. She married James Ray Gordon in 1969 and divorced him in 1984. Barbara never remarried. Barbara was a hard-working woman while her passion was fishing and she would go to the mountains to do such every time she had a chance to. You would find Barbara creating homemade gifts such as crocheted dollies, scrapbooks, and various other sewing items. Barbara Gordon is survived by 2 children, Batina Bek of Northglenn, Aaron Gordon of Denver and her only sibling Betty Jeannette Greek of Ardmore OK. Barbara is survived by 5 grandchildren, Patrick Bek, Anthony Bek, Gregory Bek, Dedrick Bek and Jasmine Gordon. She was preceded in death by her father and mother. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 10:00am at The Crossing Church of the Nazarene, 3501 W. 104Th Ave in Westminster CO with a reception to follow at the same location. Pastor Dan McKinley will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Barbara Gordon’s life. The family would like to thank Sandalwood Manor and Denver Hospice for their dedication and care in the final stages of Barbara Gordon’s life.
