October 31, 1939 - June 7, 2014 Antonio Gilbert Martinez, 75, of Denver, Colorado, formerly of Johnstown. Born in Mead, Colorado to Nicomedes (Mary) Gomez and Ramon Martinez. Entered into eternal life on Saturday, June 7th, 2014 at 11 am with his beloved, Karen Montes, by his side. Was honorably discharged from the United States Navy on November 2nd, 1961. Married his true love Nickie Dominguez in July 1960. Had three children, Brenda, Antonio Jr. (Tony), and Carmen. Received his Bachelor's Degree in the early 80's. Worked for Martin-Marietta from March 1960 until his retirement in July 1995. He is survived by his daughters; Brenda and Carmen. His grandchildren; Thadeaous, Miquel, Alicia, Kenneth Jr., and Paulina. His brothers and sisters; Roger, Juan (Jay), Raymond, Amado (Ray), Pauline, Barbara (Babs), Maria (Helen) and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 33 years; Nickie, his son; Antonio Jr. (Tony), his brother; Jose (Norman), and parents; Nicomedes (Mary) and Ramon. The Rosary will be held Friday, June 13, at 11:30 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with the Funeral Mass immediately following. Final internment will be at Olinger Highland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his brothers; Raymond, Amado (Ray), Juan (J), his grandsons, Thadeaous, Kenneth Jr. and honorary pallbearer, Miguel.
