Ann G. Daly

Ann “Annie” Gertrude Elio Daly September 25, 1946 – October 30, 2020 Born on September 25, 1946 in Denver, Colorado to Ralph and Marjorie Elio. Passed in her home in North Denver, surrounded by her family, on October 30, 2020. Ann was loved by many as a mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Known as the Queen of Hearts, everyone who met her was blessed enough to experience her endless love and wisdom that she gave so openly throughout her life. She was raised as a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Denver, Colorado. Ann, first born, moved with her family to North Denver when she entered high school at Westminster High School. Soon after, she met the “Love of All Her Lives”, Kenneth “Ace” Daly. They married in February 1965 and welcomed their first child in March 1965, followed by their second child in April 1966. Ann and Ace were married for 51 years before Ace preceded her in death on February 24, 2016. Everyone that knew Ann and Ace knows that there was never a love like theirs, and rejoiced when they were finally reunited after nearly 5 years apart. Together, they raised their two beloved children, grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Ann worked many jobs in Colorado, from bartending to hardware in the Downtown area. She loved to camp, fish, cook, spend time with her husband, friends, and grandchildren. Ann also loved to raise and care for her dogs. After she retired to help raise her grandchildren, you could often find Ann sitting on the front porch of her home in North Denver, surrounded by her children and grandchildren, where you could walk up to have a cup of coffee or a smoke with her and listen to her and her adoring husband tell stories. Her most favorite story to tell was the one of their love that transcended lifetimes. Ann’s faith, immense love, and wit are cherished by those lucky enough to have known her. Ann is survived by her brother, Ralph Elio, daughter Clarissa Ann (husband Robert), son Kenneth Jr., dozens of cousins, godchildren, nieces, and nephews. Finally, she is survived by her 7 grandchildren Meghan, Shannon, Robert, Isaac, Jacob, Nicholas, and Domonick, all of whom adored their “Annie”. Currently, no services will be held.
