Angella Margaret Weston

February 7, 1931 — July 14, 2016

Angella Margaret Weston (Marge) left the constraints of this world and was welcomed home by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 14. Marge once said that “Freedom is finding life in Jesus Christ.” She is experiencing true freedom now. Her life and legacy is one of compassion, love, mercy, and grace, the ideals that Jesus modeled. She especially loved children—her own and those she took care of during her career as a pediatric nurse. Her heart was faithful, her attitude in life was always encouraging, and her words always kind. She was forgiving, yet uncompromising in her principles, devoted and loving, patient and kind. Marge was born February 7, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois and within a year moved to Appleton, Wisconsin. She lived there with her family until graduation from high school in 1948. Marge then attended Wesleyan Hospital Nursing School at Northwestern University in Chicago. After graduation, she moved to Madison, Wisconsin where she met Gene. They were married June 18, 1955 and celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary this year. The remainder of her life was spent in Wisconsin and Colorado where her children were raised. The last 22 years Gene and Marge wintered in Tucson, Arizona. She loved her art and shared her pottery and painting with family and friends. She loved travel, in measure because it heightened the awe she had for the creation that God had brought forth. She loved music as much as anything in her life. She loved to play piano and would leap into song with the slightest hint of encouragement. Quite simply she was a gift from God, modeling what it meant to be a wife, a mother, a friend, and, most importantly, a servant to her Lord and Savior. Ten years ago she was asked what she would like to happen in the next decade. She responded that if she were still on this earth, her hope would be to see all her children and grandchildren healthy and happy and living with the Lord Jesus Christ number one in their lives. Her love and compassion, her nurturing and encouragement, made that wish a reality today. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Eugene Weston, and her children, Barbara Ramsay (Rob), Tom, (Diane), Jon, (Sonia), and Mark (Shannon), as well as her grandchildren: Lauren Wolfe, Kyle Weston, Erin Ramsay, Karlie Ruiter, Corey Weston, Michael Weston, Nathan Weston, Ryan Weston; and her new great-grandchild Ella Wolfe. A celebration mass and reception will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 26th at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 1985 Miller St., Lakewood, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady Fatima youth program.
