September 8, 1922 - April 27, 2012 Amelia Bisch formerly (Dietz). born September 8, 1922, in Globleville, Colorado. She was proud of her Volga Deutsch (Russian-German ancestry in the Russian Volga River valley). Her Dad (Henry), Mom (Elizabeth) 3 half-brothers (Henry, John, George), 1 full brother (John) and full sister (Elizabeth) came over from Beideck Russia (near Saratov) in May 1912. All total she had 3 full brothers (John, Alec, Richard), 3 half brothers (Henry, John, George), and 4 full sisters (Lydia, Elizabeth, Lillian, Mary). She was strong willed and spirited. Always wanted the best for her family and had the best intentions; she wanted her loved ones to excel in life. Loved her family, children, grandchildren, parents, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Her house and her garden ( especially her roses) were her anchor, and her family her life. She grew up in the depression, in Globeville, Colorado, in a German, ethnic neighborhood. She attended North High School and married Raymond Bisch in 1940. She survived by 2 daughters (Kathy born in 1942 and Karen born in 1944), 4 grandchildren (Daniel, Kelly, Todd and Andrea) and 5 great-grandchildren. She was last of all her siblings to pass. She came of age in WWII, and was truly from the "greatest" generation. Later worked in the 1950's and 60's as a nurse. She was very caring, considerate and loving. In the 1970's she worked for US Geological Survey till her retirement in 1984. She loved to drive and still had her blue 1966 Ford Mustang. She was fantastic cook; she made wonderful Sunday beef roast dinners, made great cabbage bread, and cherry/raspberry danishes. These were "Volga Deutsch" Russian-German recipes that were handed down to her from her mom Elizabeth Dietz formerly (Romer). She was a parent all her life to her children and grandchildren. Funeral Service to be held at 11:00AM, Friday, May 4th 2012 at Crossroads Church of Denver (Wheat Ridge, Colorado, 50th Kipling). Burial at Arvada Cemetery.
