Alfred W. Talbot of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, passed away April 27, 2024. A memorial service will be held at Jefferson United Methodist Church, 4425 Kipling St. Wheat Ridge, CO. on May 11, 2024, at 2 o’clock PM.
Alfred was born to Thomas and Barbara Talbot on March 22, 1963, in New York City, New York. He graduated from Pomona High School in Arvada, Colorado. He graduated from Ottawa University in Ottawa Kansas and earned his master’s degree from the University of Phoenix.
He enjoyed and excelled in his career as an educator and athlete. He participated in marathon races in several different countries during his lifetime. Football was a major interest in his lifetime he played the sport in high school and college and even went on to coach for many years at different schools in the Denver Area. “Coach Talbot” as he was known to many, was loved and admired.
He is survived by his siblings Katherine Jesse, Nancy Parker and Duncan Talbot. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Brown, Daniel Garcia, Susan Bowan, Kimberly Basile, Thomas Talbot, Mary Coleman, Caroline Roller, Matthew and Joseph Talbot, and their children. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions may be made to Ottawa University, 1001 S. Cedar Street, Ottawa, Kansas 66067, where the family will be setting up a scholarship fund in his name.
