Alana Leilani Frank, "Lei" as she was known by family and friends, was born in Honolulu, HI. She passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home in Denver, CO on January 28, 2016 at the age of 59. In 1977, she married the love of her life, David Frank, and together they raised 3 children; Rozie, Jacob, and Joe. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren; Allison, Eliott, Hunter, Xavier, and Emma. She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, sister JoAnn, brothers Alan and Rob, and many other precious family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Cleva, and her brother, Dean. All who knew Lei, knew her love for the Christmas season. Her generous spirit shined brighter than the perfectly placed bulbs on her Christmas tree. She would spend a full week decorating her home with treasures she had collected through the years. She had a special fondness for Santa and Mrs. Claus. Her tree was full of Santa and Mrs. Claus ornaments, and decorations of the jolly couple filled every nook-and-cranny of her home. She had Santa Claus checks, a Santa Claus calendar, a Santa Claus key chain and at one time she even had a custom embroidered Santa Claus tire cover on the back of her Blazer! Christmas was her "happy place"...this is why her Christmas tree was continually decorated and lit up every night throughout her hard fought battle with lung cancer. Family, friends, and others whose lives Lei touched are invited to a "Celebration of Life" in her honor on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Crossroads Church, 10451 Huron St. Northglenn, CO 80234 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm. Please bring a dish to share and copies of any special photos of Lei that you would like to share with her family.
